Pro Player Joins With Online Casino
The world of online poker playing is never dull. This week one of the online
gaming industries largest poker rooms has announced that poker professional Scott Fischman is signing on.
Fischman started his poker career at the age of 21, working as a dealer at the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas. In 2002, Fischman was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and jumped across the table to start life as a professional poker player.
It was in 2004, at The Grand American Poker Classic in Tunica, Mississippi when Scott made his first mark on the world of professional poker playing. Fischman then went on to win two World Series of Poker bracelets, grossing over $600,000 in the process.
“Scott has one of the most technical and logical minds I have ever met, and it is fascinating to watch him read and manipulate old and young players alike,” said Peter Marcus, a spokesperson from the online casino that recently signed Fischman. “Scott is the perfect addition... he is young, energetic and one of the most electric personalties in poker, and we look forward to including him in all our future extreme poker events.”
Fischman is also excited about the deal.
“I look forward to being a part of one of the most respected online poker rooms in the world,” said Fischman. “...it is apparent that they truly care about providing players with a safe, exciting and, above all, genuine poker experience on the web, and I am extremely pleased to be associated with them.”
Scott has more on his plate than online poker gambling for 2006. His new instructional booklet, Online Ace, comes out this summer, and his plan to break the world record for the longest continuous game of poker should keep him busy this fall. |
